Hess Denmark ApS, operator for the companies in licence 7/89 and 2/06, has completed the appraisal well Rigs-4/4A (/30-5) in the Danish part of the North Sea. Oil was discovered in chalk layers. As operator for the companies in Licence 8/06 Mærsk Olie og Gas AS has drilled the Ebba-1X (/15-10) exploration well ca. 5 kilometres north of the Dagmar field. The well was spudded 17 December with the jack-up rig Energy Enhancer at the position 55°37'03.92" N; 04°36'25.14" E (UTM zone 31; 6,164,845 m N; 601,211 m E), where the water depth is 34 metres.
